lished the discipline of daily early morning prayer. I am not at liberty to discuss the details of what transpired, but I can tell you that prayer became vital to my life at that time. In a most dramatic move, the suit was resolved to the mutual satisfaction of all parties involved on the morning of the trial. During that time, I prayed much, and I have come to the conclusion that the constant pray- ing was necessary to elevate me to the point of extraordi- nary prayer just several days before the settlement. I was deeply concerned about going to court with a fellow Christian, 5 and I pleaded to God most passionately not to let anything happen that would discredit Him, the Spirit of Truth, or any of His people involved (including the plaintiff). Yet, it was at this time when I arrived at the most wonderful realization that I had touched upon something sacred to God. A deep peace—which has not left me since—settled into my soul. To God be the glory. As we return to Gethsemane, let us rejoice again for the magnificent triumph of the Christ in the garden and on the cross. His agony turned to ecstasy as He persevered in the will of God: “who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” 6 Sorrow and Heaviness With ever-increasing burden, Jesus labored forward into the dark garden. Three disciples—Peter, James, and John followed Him, yet allowing a discrete distance from the sorrowful praying Christ. Hence, three times He ago- nized in extraordinary prayer as the disciples slept. Jesus asked for their help in prayer:
