Jesus often punctuated His teach- ings with the cry, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” 22 The Son of God wanted people to know the will of His Father, but He knew that this ability to hear result- ed from communion with the Father. 3. Obey Diligently. Trust the impressions that are born in times of prayer, and seek to be obedient to the convictions placed in your heart. Remember, if you ask God for bread, He will give you bread—not a stone! 23 Realize that when you ask God for direction, He will seek to make that direction clear to you. 4. Suffer Gracefully. Even though, Like Jesus, your ministry and destiny may be filled with difficulty and suffering, endure patiently. Don’t turn back. Let God’s will and God’s Word direct your life and you will find fulfillment. His Unbroken Fellowship Jesus lived in an unbroken fellowship with the heavenly Father which was initiated early each day in the Father’s presence. May we all learn that the way we begin each day will affect the rest of the day. Jesus certainly prayed whenever special needs arose. Sometimes, He prayed during the night while others slept. His prayer in Gethsemane is a clear example of prayer for an important event. 24 He prayed whenever and wherever He could. He certainly did not limit his prayer for the early morning or at one particular location. As Herbert Lockyer says:
