September 2015 will mark the 40th anniversary of production from the Forties oilfield.

Initially brought on stream in 1975, Forties is one of the largest oilfields discovered in the UK North Sea. Acquired by Apache in 2003 with estimated reserves of 144MMBO, more than $4.5bn has since been invested to produce 237MMBO, extending operational field life beyond 2030.
