VETERAN ASSISTANCE Additional Information: Help the veterans with your donations during the month of November by dropping off needed supplies at the Meadowbrook Public Library. The donations will be given to the VA Medical Center in Salem. Items needed are deodorant, denture adhesive, 3-in-1 body wash, body lotion, toothpaste, nail clippers, sweatpants, sweatshirts, t-shirts (size M, L, XL) and new baseball caps. Additional Information: All vehicles carry a federally–assigned number known as Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Making sure those numbers are marked permanently on a vehicle’s windows steers thieves away. The windows of stolen VIN etched vehicles must be stripped and replaced before a thief can get rid of the car, a costly and time-consuming process. VIN etching is simple, fast, safe and won’t mar the look of the vehicle. Numbers are etched into the glass with a chemical solution and those numbers will be there for good. Learn about the 9/11 Memorial Sculpture located at the front entrance of the Government Center made from pieces of the World Trade Center steel, honoring the lives of those lost on 9/11.
