What is the best flooring - Laminate, Bamboo or Timber? E ach has advantages and your choice will depend on what you are looking to achieve. For some a quick revamp prior

timber that allows the floor to be sanded back a number of times. The product is extremely dimensionally stable (doesn't warp or twist), can be laid immediately and is easy to keep clean. Like bamboo, engineered timber comes pre-finished and ready to walk on. Impact resistance depends on the species of wood. Being a natural material there is usually a wider range of features and colour ranges in floor boards, so don't rely on a single small sample to give you the full picture. Choices include Australian managed-forest hardwood species such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum etc, as well as plantation sourced species like Kempas and Merbeau. Strand woven bamboo is created by compressing bamboo fibres under high pressure to form the hardest of any flooring in Australia. Pre-finished with 6 layers of ceramic varnish gives a highly durable surface, resistant to household and commercial traffic. Available in semi gloss or matt finish, it comes in 20+ different colours. Bamboo is considered an environmentally sound choice and is highly sustainable. It is generally cheaper than engineered timber options, but avoid thin boards (less than 14mm) from one- off suppliers.
