Activity Survey 2015

6.3 Production The UKCS produced 1.42 million boepd (519 million boe) in 2014, representing just a 1.1 per cent year-on-year fall. This is the smallest decline since UK production peaked in 2000, giving the strongest indication to date that the problems leading to previous poor performance are finally being overcome. Investment in new production and improved output from existing facilities have been the key drivers. Liquids production (oil/natural gas liquids) was down about 2.6 per cent on last year to 0.84 million boepd, but net gas production (less that used by producers offshore) was up 1.1 per cent to 34.7 bcm, which partially offset the overall decline.
