Dam Day Out for Families - Sunday 7th June F amilies across the Central Coast are invited to discover where their drinking water comes from at the 3rd annual Dam Day Out, returning to the Mangrove Creek Dam Visitor Centre on Sunday 7 June, from 10am to 4pm, as part of the Harvest Festival. Hosted by Central Coast Council, Dam Day Out is a free, family friendly community event that highlights the region’s largest dam, and the journey water takes from catchment to tap. The event offers a rare chance for locals to see behind the scenes of one of the Coast’s most important water assets and learn how it supports the region’s drinking water supply. Visitors can enjoy a full day of activities, including optional guided dam wall tours as part of the shuttle service, handson water education workshops, live music, food stalls, a kids’ science show and a range of interactive activities designed to engage all ages. The program blends fun and learning, helping families understand how water is sourced, stored and delivered to homes across the Central Coast. Council Mayor Lawrie McKinna said Dam Day Out is an opportunity for the community to connect with the environment and appreciate the essential role Mangrove Creek Dam plays in the region’s water security. “Mangrove Creek Dam plays a vital role in
