T he 149 th Congress of Cor- rection just wrapped up in Boston and was, as one participant put it, “Absolutely in- credible!” Thousands of corrections professionals descended upon the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center from Aug. 1-6, 2019 for an exciting mix of work- shops, networking opportunities and exhibits that offered corrections’ very best and newest products, goods and services. Because ACA’s conferences remain the focal point for corrections professionals seeking certification and continuing educa- tion units, many were on hand to take full advantage of all the Con- gress of Correction had to offer. But if you missed this year’s Congress, don’t worry because the November/ December issue of Corrections To- day is going to be filled with a total recap of all that took place. In the next issue, you’ll get a chance to read all about former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie whose important message at the General Session reached far beyond the walls of Boston’s well-known convention center. You’ll also learn all about two game-changing ACA leaders — J.
