CLASS II

WORK RULES

CLASS II work rules are examples of work rules that are of a more serious nature than CLASS I and, if violated, may result in more serious disciplinary measures, up to and including discharge.

1.

Dishonesty

10. Making untruthful

or capricious statements about a fellow employee.

Work performance not

up to

standards.

11. Refusal to comply with reasonable instructions or authorized supervision.

3.

Failure to perform duties as outlined in the employee's job description or failure to carry out reasonable assignments or instructions.

12. Obtaining employment or promotions under false pretenses.

13. Failure to complete City records.

4.

Failure to follow the proper procedures or policies of the City.

14. Violation of safety and health rules.

15. Transporting unauthorized passengers in City equipment or motor vehicles.

5.

Refusal to work, without a good reason, when needed due to call-in, disaster, weather emergency, etc.

16. Failure to perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment.

6.

Physical assault of fellow employees.

17. Negligence in the operation or care of any equipment or vehicles. 18. Failure to comply with the requirements of the Healthy Life Program (Met S Screening & Annual Physical) or Completion of Health Improvement Program as required; 19. Undermining the authority of supervisors and chain of command;

7.

Violation of safety standards that could result in harm to residents, employees, or damage to equipment. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness or leaving work without authorization or good reason.

Failure to notify your supervisor that you will be absent from work.
