Culturalfirts Mark JVoizumi ~ Jennie TJirgilio

Mark and Jennie had a wonderful year this year. They brought both entertainment and educa– tion to USD. They gave students the opportunity to explore and heighten their cultural appreciation through visits to memorable plays such as Phantom of the Opera, Grease, and 42nd Street. The Cultural Arts Directors relied completley on the Cultural Arts Board who were a group of individu als responsible for helping to carry out the many events put on by Cultural Arts . This group is a section of As that celebrates culture, music, and art, and gives the directorships an exciting and unlimited opportunity to share these talents with USD students.

Public

This past year has been new and exciting for Public Relatio.ns. Many goals were accomplished ranging form a duo colored Communicator to better looking and well kept glass cases. We also pioneered new ways to advertise A.S. events through a half page ad inthe Vista and a brand new publication "Impact" which gets distributed to all faculty and staff. Also, with the helo ofAmanda Beck, Secretary of Student Organizations, we were able to set up working e-mail addresses for all A.S. officers and all clubs and organizations. We have just begun to hit the internet, so by Fall of 96, look for great things to come from Public Relations in cybersJ2ace. As always "This Week in A.S." has been a success and Communicator distribution is improv– ing every month. It has been an incredible year and we are sure our new ideas will foster fantastic begin– nings for the years ahead.
