In 1872, Alpha Phi was founded at Syracuse University "to uphold the highest ideals ofwomanhood, scholarship, and service, and perpetuate the spirit of sisterly love and kindness." The Eta Rho Chapter was founded at USD in 1989 to strive to uphold these goal and high ideals of womanhood. In the six years since its founding, Alpha Phi has continued to grow and prosper. Social involvements for the sorority include Fraternity Exchanges, Bor– deaux Ball, Fall Formal, and Date Parties. Sisterhood events like Founder's Day and the Chapter Retreat rounded out the year. Finally, Alpha Phi showed their pholanthropic activities by orga– nizing the 5th Annual Alpha Phi Open Golf Tournament to raise money to benefit Cardiac Aide and orphaned children.

Congratulations to all the Greeks on a great year in academics, community seroice, and social activity.
