Mom and Dad had a farm. Bart had one hard chore on that farm. He had to take a cart with corn to the farm's barn. Mom and Dad store corn in that barn. Bart had a dog named Mort. Mort went with Bart on his chore to take corn to the barn. Bart just got to the barn when Mort started barking! A robin had soared at his corn cart! Mort did not like that robin. Bart gave Mort a big smile. The robin liked corn. Bart dropped bits of corn on the short path for that robin. The robin ate the corn while Bart and Mort got the corn cart in the barn. The corn was safe in the barn. Mort did his chore! Then it started to get dark. Bart and Mort went home.
