EC Meeting Papers January 2019

Student Union in an easy to use E-learning tool, supported by the union competition and the blogging system set up within the E-platform. (Equilibration) Step Three: Once the knowledge attained is being used in a school setting, these skill can be transferred to a setting outside of the school. This gives students real-world experience, as well as opportunities to expand their knowledge and contact base. (Collectivism and collaboration). (End of year/course Political Festival) Aside from the GFTU schools, Shout Out have also had several other schools become interested in the platform with one school - Marylebone Boys School, compelled to remove their own Citizenship subject in favour of Shout Out’s fuller Political Literacy course to be rolled out to their entire school. In Hammersmith, Sacred Heart has also scrapped their own scheme of work (SOW), in favour of the Shout Out resources and model. Going a step further, they are also scrapping their own student council for our Student Union model.

We feel that there is growing demand in schools across the UK and that if we could find a further £30,000 of funding (to bring the funding to £50,000 in total, as originally discussed) it would allow us to expand to a further 15 schools, on top of the original 10, by the end of this academic year.

Timeline (adapted for possible new funding)  November 2018, first set of 5 schools integrated onto the platform  December 2018, approval of additional funding for 15 more schools  February 2019, second set of 5 schools integrated onto the platform  April 2019, third set of 15 schools integrated onto the platform
