The four new categories added to the survey this year are most often billed hourly – above 70.0%. Paying an annuity or maintenance fee was reported as a fixed fee by 68.6% of respondents. Also, filing foreign original utility patent application in US PTO, received ready for filing with formal papers, assignment, and priority documents are covered by a fixed fee for 61.4% of respondents.
