Borusan Mannesmann establish new plant in Spain Borusan Mannesmann, Turkey, has established a new US$16mn factory in Spain, which is expected to generate a US$60mn turnover. The 50,000t/year capacity spiral pipe production line stems from investment which began at the start of 2006. All the shares of BM Vobarno Tubi and BM Espana companies will be gathered under the umbrella of Borusan Mannesmann. The new plant – aimed at the markets of North Africa, Middle East and Europe – is planned to start functioning in the third quarter of 2008. BM Vobarno Tubi, the other investment included in Borusan Mannesmann, directs half of its output to the Italian automotive industry, and exports the other half to foreign markets including Germany and France.
