We will immediately begin preparing the necessary documents that you must take; you will have no problem when you show the synagogue leaders these official orders.” Caiaphas grips Saul’s forearm strongly, then pounds him heartily on the back. “You have a great future in Jerusalem, and I predict great success for your trip to Damascus. This will be your greatest triumph! * * * * * Saul “floats” out of the High Priest’s Palace! Caiaphas vindicated his consuming desire! He is elated to be so well received and get such an important assignment for punishing those who believe in Jesus, the false Messiah! “Yes,” Saul assures himself, “this trip to Damascus will mark the beginning of the greatness my parents wished for me.” Saul loses no time in alerting his team! He strides to the quarters housing his elite police force. Saul makes an impressive entrance, dressed in his Pharisee’s robe and headgear. He is excited, and his men can see it! The four men stand as he enters the barracks, knowing that they now have an assignment, and they are eager and ready!
