Their situation is dangerous, so an imminent move seems necessary. Some followers of Jesus have already left Jerusalem, migrating to Damascus in Syria, some one hundred and fifty miles Northeast from Jerusalem. A large Jewish population lives there, undoubtedly in excess of ten thousand and the synagogues are friendly to the believers in Jesus. A quick decision is made: Rachel, her close friends, and others they have come to know, will migrate to Damascus and be a part of a synagogue friendly to the followers of Jesus. Rachel, completely healed, is now able-bodied, and working wherever she can. Her miracle became the talk of their close- knit community. Now, however, it has become very dangerous for her to remain in the city. None believes more fervently in Jesus than this woman who now glows with health! * * * * * Everyone in the Palace has become aware of the comings and goings of Rabbi Saul, and every servant there knows that Saul is in charge of arresting all Jews who believe in Jesus in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas.

One day, Amram overhears terrifying news. A fellow servant named Ezra is speaking to another servant close by.

“They are going out again; yes, Saul and his butchers are gathering equipment and supplies to travel to Damascus and purge the synagogues of any that believe in Jesus the Christ.” The other replies, “Will they bring back prisoners in chains, like other cities?” Ezra is not happy in his response, and his facial reactions reflect it.
