Saul feels the surge of the Holy Spirit. Rising up out of the water, he opens his mouth to praise the Lord, and as Isaiah 35 predicted—“fountains of water will break forth in the wilderness.” Saul, like the first apostles at Pentecost, begins to speak in a language he has never learned. The words gush like pressurized water: it is the universal sign experienced by believers in every nation! As Saul comes out of the water, Artemus is startled to hear Spirit-words uttered by Saul. His eyes go wide and his scalp tingles! The words are in the tribal language of his father, a man of Arab descent! And, it is a prophetic message just for him! The miracle is for both speaker and listener! “You, my son,” the Lord says, “will be my voice to a Bedouin people who are dying in despair. You will be my voice to harvest a field that has been untouched by My message of life and hope! Do not fear your pursuers, simply disappear from this place, and I will guide and sustain you. The agents of evil will never find you.”
