This public display conveys the message to any spies that Paul has canceled his trip to Jerusalem, and the team goes to Asia Minor without him. Quietly without fanfare, moving as fast as possible, Paul and Luke depart Corinth and travel northward by land through Greece, finally arriving in Philippi in time for their Passover festivities. They will meet the rest of the team in nearby Troas after Passover, and then together proceed to Jerusalem, hopefully arriving in time for Pentecost. * * * * * As he walks, Paul is grateful for the change of plans. Once again, his life is spared, and he is allowed to visit his beloved disciples in Macedonia.
