number of Jesus’ special assistants help seat people in orderly groups of fifty and one hundred. Other disciples escort and seat sick and incapacitated people and their friends in a reserved area adjacent to where Jesus will be speaking. Suddenly, Peter the big fisherman, Jesus’ key helper, appears and greets Nicodemus and Saul, and then guides them to an area close to one reserved for the sick and needy. “Jesus mentioned you would be coming with a friend and to have you seated in this area, so you could see and hear better. “He said that I would know you because you would be in the dress of Pharisees, and one of you would be older and one younger.” Nicodemus thanks Peter, then looking mystified, he turns and says to Saul, “How did Jesus know we were coming?” * * * * * The large crowd settles down, and most are finally seated. Standing before the crowd, Peter signals for silence and proceeds to introduce Jesus. He explains that Jesus comes from Nazareth and is related to John the Baptist and he also proclaims the same imminent appearance of God’s Kingdom. Peter repeats the amazing affirmation that John had given Jesus. “You both are truly most welcome, Shalom !” Peter adds warmly.
