everyone to bring any questions they have to God in prayer and see if He will not bring satisfying answers very quickly.

Saul watches in amazement as more than half of those in the area designated for the sick rise to leave unassisted , faces aglow, praising God for His mercy! Even those who were not healed have glowing smiles! * * * * * These things happened early in Jesus’ ministry when he first began in Judea and was not yet well known in all Israel. During this time, Nicodemus the Pharisee decides he must talk to Jesus personally. The conversation is held at night, probably for secrecy. Jesus mystifies and surprises the elderly Rabbi, telling this well-known teacher that he is spiritually deficient, that he “must be born again:” that is, experience a second birth, one that is spiritual in nature and is accomplished by the Holy Spirit, happening in response to his own personal decision! Several days after this private discussion with Jesus, Nicodemus again asks Saul to go with him to listen to Jesus teach the people in the Temple courtyard.

At first hesitant, Saul then replies, “Yes. . . I would like

to hear more.”

In the early morning, the two men proceed to the Temple Court. A sizeable crowd is already present, listening in rapt attention as Jesus teaches the fundamentals of godly living.
