I Appeal To Caesar!

Jesus’ profound, simplistic explanations and spiritual applications fascinate Saul, and he becomes conscious of a personal emptiness and spiritual need. He ponders, “Can Jesus’ teachings help me?” * * * * * Jesus does not pray for sick people in this setting, but instead, talks, mingles and relates briefly with His visitors. Often Jesus shares a Scripture with someone that seems perfect and appropriate to each personal situation! Instead of physical healing, Jesus seems to be giving his visitors personal prophetic words of encouragement.

Interrupting Saul’s musings, Nicodemus says, “Let’s go

up and meet Jesus.”

“Wh-a-a-t? . . . Oh, I’m not sure about this,” replies

nervous Saul.

Taking Saul by the arm, the older man steers their way

over to Jesus.

Smiling broadly and with great sincerely, Jesus says, “Well, Nicodemus it is good to see you again. It is quite an honor to have a scholar such as yourself in my audience!” “Thank you, Jesus, for your compliment! May I present my friend Saul, who is a gifted interpreter of Scripture. I wanted very much to have him both hear and meet You.” “ Shalom , dear brother,” Jesus says with great warmth. “If I’m not mistaken, you two were in the healing meeting near Jericho recently. You are so welcome, God bless you!”
