Chapter 3 Confirmation The Decision Is Made

wo days before the special meeting with selected Pharisees and Sadducees, Caiaphas is in hiding, refusing all interviews or messages. On his desk sits the pile of written reports submitted by the teams of Pharisees and Sadducees who observed, questioned and harassed Jesus during his three years of ministry in Israel. Somewhere in this pile lies the secret the High Priest must ferret out: a single thought, like a master key, that will unlock the truth of the Jesus’ folly. There must be some piece of evidence that will give him the verdict he needs! Although familiar with these reports, Caiaphas now is desperate, scrutinizing all information with a fine-toothed comb. The reports tabulate the questions and challenges thrown at Jesus, his stunning replies, and sometimes responses of people who observed one of the interviews.
