* * * * * When the reports conclude, Caiaphas invites one of the most outspoken and passionate Sanhedrin members to report on Jesus’ most disturbing and critical message. Delivered during the week of Jesus’ crucifixion, the blistering public denunciation of the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees was delivered to a large crowd at the Temple (who incidentally listened to Jesus with great delight!). In his message an angry Jesus eight times pronounced “woe to you” upon the Pharisees, called them “hypocrites” seven times, and finally, five times accused them of spiritual “blindness.” The emotional re-telling of this vicious message inflames the entire audience! Harsh statements against Jesus are called out, and some men even stand and stomp their feet (Caiaphas stifles his personal delight!).
