Credo: “URBAN ACUPUNCTURE When we undertake the act of thinking about a new project inside the urban fabric of the city we are always trying to blur the bound- aries of our project looking for opportunities to redefine the urban form with small, almost imperceptible movements. This way of working within the exist- ing city adds to the architectural work, new programs, maybe unsolicited by the client, that can also be understood as excuses to enrich the urban experience of the pedestrian, ways to make the city more secure, understanding the value of the flux of people moving through private-public space. We think of our proj- ects as part of an urban acupuncture strategy that creates public space and regen- erates the urban tissue. ARCHITECTURAL PATRIMONY AND CONTEMPORARY INTERVENTION We have dealt with reuse of landmark and other type of structures. We think it is impor- tant to strengthen the essence of the original building, and we also think that a strong intervention is necessary for the building to transcend to a new place. работы внутри уже существующей городской среды добавляет к архитектурной работе новые слои, о которых, может быть, клиент и не думал. Они могут быть предлогом, чтобы обогатить опыт городской жизни для пешеходов, сделать город более безопасным для людского потока, переме- щающегося через частные и публичные простран- ства. Мы думаем о наших проектах как о части стратегии городской акупунктуры, которая создает общественное пространство и регенерирует мате- рию города. АРХИТЕКТУРНОЕ НАСЛЕДИЕ И СОВРЕМЕННОЕ ВМЕШАТЕЛЬСТВО Мы имели дело с повторным использованием памятников и других типов структуры. Мы считаем, что важно усилить суть оригинальной постройки и что преодолеть огра- ничения реконструкции можно только ценой се- рьезных усилий. Объем этих усилий – вычитания и сложения – становится ясен только в процессе реализации».
