Robin Nursery School

Pennington Junior School

P ennington Junior School offers a sense of com- munity, in which every child’s needs are looked after, we believe that this is the best way to enable them to be all they can be. Our class teachers provide pupil-centric education, recognising the needs of each pupil as an indi- vidual and tailoring their learn- ing to this. In addition, we also provide emotional support to pupils to build their self-con- fidence and enable them to achieve in their learning. Another school year has already begun and we at Pen- nington Junior School have already set about embracing the opportunities and tackling the challenges that the follow- ing 11 months have in store for us. R obin Nursery is situated in the centre of Sway village at the Youth Centre build- ing. We are a committee-run pre- school, managed by an elected committee, most of whom are par- ents of children at the nursery. We have two spacious inside rooms offering a mixture of adult led learning and continuous free play. Our outside area allows for lots of physical and imaginative role play activities. Our manager, Susan Taylor, leads a committed and caring team of qualified staff, who have many years of experience at pro- viding high quality care and educa- tion to young children. We pride ourselves on our high adult:child ratio which enables us to deliver the national early learn- ing goals and curriculum to the individual requirements of each child. We welcome children from all local areas from the age of two to statutory school age. We are open from 8am - 4pm term time weekdays. Visits always welcome either by appointment or just drop in !

As such, we have a range of sports activities throughout the school year and regularly succeed in inter-school cham- pionships. This builds a sense of pride in our school, encour- aging students to care for each other and reinforcing the val- ues of teamwork and fairness, values that are central to our ethos. If this sounds like the at- mosphere that’s right for your child, please join us at our open events on 9th October and meet the team, take a tour of the school and experi- ence the lively, happy feel for yourself.
