Software for pipe stress analysis Intergraph has released Caesar II Nuclear, a new version of the software for pipe stress analysis that has been through a Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) process. The software now complies with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) NQA-1 2008/09 quality assurance (QA) standards required for nuclear facility design as endorsed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for use in reactors, material, waste and security. ASME NQA-1 is recognised as a rigorous safety standard for nuclear applications, focused on preventing defects before release. The new Caesar II Nuclear software has additional features that allow for its direct adoption in the nuclear sector for new facilities.
