Dear Colleagues and all readers,

C O N T E N T

Well the summer is over. I hope everyone found time to enjoy it. Welcome to the Autumn 2015 CONSULEGIS IP, Entertainment, and IT Law Specialist Group Newsletter. I have been given the opportunity to be editor for t his newsletter with Denis Schultheis as co -editor who is always a pleasure to work with. Summer is a time most people want to relax and stop thinking about work when they can. So obtaining articles for newsletter can be a challenge in the summer. This did give me the opportunity to make contact with a number of different members in CONSULEGIS which is always a good thing to do. And fortunately numerous members stepped up to the plate (I am in the US so you have to expect a baseball analogy in the summer) and provided very good articles. The general direction for the articles was to focus on how intellectual property is handled in a particular member’s country. Of course with a target of only about 500 words the articles are limited to general information about the various methods available to protect IP in a particular country. But I believe the articles

all very well written and successfully convey an adequate high-level picture of IP in that country. Follow-up contact with the authors to obtain additional information is both welcomed and encouraged.
