WELDED ART PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION THE ARTISTIC SOUL OF WELDING
Photography as an art form arose from advancements in technology which allowed photographers to manipulate their images to fit their artistic expression. They are able to drastically change the outcome of an image through choosing various cameras, lenses, film, and the framing and timing of a shot. Filters, studio lighting, various darkroom processes and digital enhancement add even more tools for photographers to manipulate their images. Welding and related activities lend themselves to being used in photographic art. “Rainbow Bead” by Milan Maronek and “It's All in The Perspective” by Steven Borle are very good examples. We hope these examples will encourage more engineers and metallurgists to seek opportunities to create welded art with photography.
