T h e g ro u n d , tak en from the P a rk , w as a g ra n t to the com pany by C hristian V III., to whose taste and liberality the public are indebted for th e n um ero u s new drives in the D eer P a rk , and for th e prom en ad es on the bastion s o f the town and citadel. A bout a m ile to the n o rth of K lam penborg, in the centre o f the P a rk , stan ds the "Hermitage ” bu ilt by C hristian V I., in 1 7 3 6 ; from the up per p a rt o f w hich is a splendid view over wood and sea. F u rth e r north in the P a rk lies Itaadvaddam , a factory o f steel and h a rd -w are . A road to the east leads to Strandmollcn the P a p e r F acto ry and M ills o f Mr. D rew sen ; to the n o rth of which on the S tra n d -ro ad is " Skovsborg / ’ lately pu rchased by his p re sen t M ajesty, F red erik V II., for a summ er residence. It has since been enlarged, but possesses n eith er taste nor beauty. On the w est side of the P a rk lies Fortnnen,
