In addition to the cultural activities, monu- ments and natural environment, the city offers numerous spaces and activities for entertain- ment and recreation. Those who love shopping are in their element. In addition to numerous shopping centres, shops, and markets which can be found in emblematic streets such as Cruz Conde, Gondomar, Concepción, Gran Capitán, or Ronda de los Tejares, as well as on the outskirts, Cordoba has a fascinating Zouk next to the Plaza de Maimónides square with shops selling the handcrafted leather and sil- ver products which have earned their creators international renown. There are also a large number of craft workshops in the Barrio de la Judería (Jewish quarter). Flamenco , an art form which is very much the essence of the city’s character and identity, can be enjoyed to the full in venues such as those of Cardenal, and La Bulería, where every night prestigious dancers, singers, and guitar players captivate audiences with their powerful performances. the Jewish Quarter, where apart from having a bath according to the old Moorish style, we can enjoy the flavour of its teas and Arab pas- tries. This is also possible in any of the Arab tea rooms of the city. When the day comes to an end, activi- ty does not stop in Cordoba. After having some tapas in any of its taverns, we can choose between having a drink in one of its pubs or bars or going to a disco to dance the latest hits.

Además de la oferta cultural, monumental y natural, la ciudad ofrece múltiples espacios y actividades para el ocio y el tiempo libre. Los amantes de las compras están de en- horabuena. Aparte de los centros comercia- les, tiendas y mercados que se reparten por calles tan emblemáticas como Cruz Conde, Gondomar, Concepción, Gran Capitán o Ronda de los Tejares, además de la perife- ria, Córdoba cuenta con un peculiar Zoco junto a la plaza de Maimónides, donde se pueden adquirir productos artesanales en cuero y plata que han dado fama internacio- nal a sus creadores. El barrio de la Judería también concentra un elevado número de talleres artesanales. El flamenco , una de las señas de identidad de esta tierra, puede disfrutarse en su esen- cia en tablaos como Cardenal o La Bule- ría, donde cada noche se dan cita grandes maestros del cante, el toque y el baile que emocionarán con su arte a todos aquellos que los contemplen. El relax también encuentra su hueco en Cór- doba y lo hace recordando a sus antepasa- dos. Hamman o baños árabes se localizan en la Judería, en donde además de tomar un baño a la antigua usanza andalusí, podremos deleitarnos con el sabor de sus tés y dulces árabes, algo también posible en cualquiera de las otras teterías de la ciudad. Cuando el día llega a su fin la actividad no cesa en Córdoba. Tras tapear en alguna de sus tabernas, podemos elegir entre tomar una copa en sus muchos pubs y bares, o ir a bailar la música del momento en alguna de sus discotecas.
