7:13 Stability of elements at ppb concentra:on levels

Stability study: (results)

7:14 Stability of elements at ppb concentra

Stability study: (summary of findings)

§ The 1 % nitric acid solu2ons of the alkali, alkaline, and rare earth elements do not show any instability at the 2-100 ppb level in LDPE. § The majority of elements studied were found to be stable for 1 year at the 2-100 ppb level. § Ag is the only unstable element found that is stable at the 2 ppb level. AgCl ppt. ? § Au and Hg are the fastest and most complete adsorbers at all of the concentra2on levels studied. (They are reported to stabilize one another.) § Pt, Ta, Mo, Sn, Hf , and Ir were originally present as a fluoride or chloride complex.
