Human Trafficking Resources

A number of online resources are available for educators relating to human trafficking. These have been posted on our home page under the Hot Topics tab.

The Ohio School Breakfast Challenge (Osbc) Announces The 2017 Champions Of Breakfast Awards The OSBC is pleased to announce the Champions of Breakfast Awards , a new Award to recognize individual schools or districts for collaborative efforts used to create, enhance or expand their School Breakfast Program. Any school/district that has demonstrated a collaborative best practice for breakfast is encouraged to apply. Application forms and a description of the award are available here . Schools/districts are encouraged to complete an application form and share their collaborative best practice! Send completed application forms to breakfast@drink-milk.com - beginning February 22, thru March 13, 2017 Champions of Breakfast Award Winners will be announced, April 2017.

INFOhio Support for Blended Learning INFOhio offers millions of digital articles, videos, images, e-books, and more. Using them for blended learning or flipped classrooms is easy. Your teachers can go to Blended Learning in the INFOhio Toolkit for instructions for adding INFOhio widgets, apps, bookmarks, and extensions to a variety of devices. Your teachers will also find instructions for adding digital content to all of the most popular learning management systems, including Google Classroom. Now Accepting Nominations for Digital Learning Experts! Do you know an educator who would like to be an expert on using digital content resources in the classroom? Recommend them to become an INFOhio District/Building ICoach! We’re looking for energetic people employed within Ohio school buildings and districts to join the 311 member INFOhio District/Building ICoach team. Those accepted to be part of the 2017-2018 INFOhio District/Building ICoach team receive free training on incorporating INFOhio resources and other digital tools successfully in the classroom, training they can then use to help their students and peers. You can nominate educators interested in becoming a 2017-2018 INFOhio District/Building ICoach using the recommendation form . Nominees can apply starting March 7, 2017 using the online application . Applications are accepted through April 14, 2017, and notifications of acceptance into the program will be confirmed by April 28, 2017. Have questions? Contact us at central@infohio.org .

Superintendent Licensure Program

University of Dayton/BASA Superintendent Licensure Program - Cohort The UD/BASA Superintendent Licensure Program-Cohort is a unique collaborative program designed to maximize the professional expertise and resource base for superintendents from BASA and the approved licensure program and demanding curriculum of the University of Dayton. The program will provide a cohort of Ohio educators with a convenient, rigorous, practice-based program leading to an Ohio license as a superintendent. Up to 25 Ohio educators will be admitted into the program by the University of Dayton. The cohort group will complete the University of Dayton’s approved program Leading to Licensure as an Ohio Superintendent Instruction of the coursework will be provided by University of Dayton faculty, R. Kirk Hamilton, Executive Director of BASA; David Axner, Deputy Executive Director of BASA and Jerry Klenke, CEO/ President of the Ohio School Leadership Foundation.
