Removing brake pads (1/4)

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the brake to replace the brake pads.

IMPORTANT: Always replace the brake pads by axle and use a new retaining system for brake pads and pressure plates. The 8mm adjuster components can be damaged if using open-ended wrenches or power tools. Only use tools listed in the MAXX22T Maintenance Manual. 1. Remove the wheel.

2. Loosen the pad retainer screw from the brake caliper. Apply slight pressure on the pad retainer bar with your hand at the same time.
