Polypipe Terrain looks to repeat awards success

Polypipe Terrain, which took first place in the Manufacturer of the Year category at the 2010 Building Awards, has been shortlisted for the same category at the 2011 awards. “We were thrilled to win the award last year, but to then be shortlisted again this year is nothing short of amazing,” said sales and marketing director Adam Turk. “There have been a record number of entries this year and so to win a place on the shortlist is a real achievement.” The awards recognise the UK construction industry’s top performers and are judged on the basis of innovation, contribution to the industry and commitment to sustainability. In 2010 the judges described Polypipe Terrain’s business performance as being “so remarkable that it could be described as construction’s equivalent of Chariots of Fire”.

In addition, it is expected that offering a full steel pole and concrete pole line would provide synergies throughout the distribution network. James S Marlen, Ameron’s chairman, president and chief executive officer, stated, “This investment represents a significant strategic growth opportunity in a market with which we have experience. With the new plant, we will have a cost-efficient, state-of-the- art manufacturing process and the capacity to grow the business.” Ameron International Corporation – USA www.ameron.com generate increased sales.
