As Summer Ends and Fall Begins by Clay Harrison

As Summer ends and Fall begins, It’s not too hot or cold, but pleasant in a dreamy way As Autumn joys unfold. The cotton fields are white as snow, The pumpkins, Midas gold, And cornstalks stand in naked fields As the year grows old. Red apples hang like ornaments On decorated trees In picture-perfect moments And treasured memories. Each season blends into the next In moments so sublime I know that God ordained them Because they are divine. The harvest moon shines bright above The weary world at rest, As Summer ends and Fall begins And every heart is blessed.
