Welcome to the September edition of the Beacon. We’re certainly in the homestretch of the boating year at the club and this month’s Beacon is full of information pertaining to all the activities we have coming up. Kid’s Campout, Smoke On the Water, September Rendezvous at the island, Commodore’s Golf Outing and Haul Out Party just to name a few. We also have a very nice piece sent in from members Mary Rener and LuAnn Currie about an event put on for the Special Olympics by The Water Warriors – be sure the catch that. I also want to mention our newest advertiser, Mike and Jackie Pilarowski with Alarm Engineering Services. Mike placed a full page ad in the Beacon and is offering a discount to NCYC members, so be sure to give him a call. And lastly, included inside are the lists of candidates running for the 2014 Flag and Board of Directors, so look the list over and start thinking about your upcoming vote next month!

Hang on to your hat. We’re starting the “Grand Finally” of the 2014 boating season, so try not to miss any of the many upcoming events.
