Business Jet Market Segmentation

The following segmentation helps to differentiate the various aircraft offered on the business jet market. It is based on a combination of price and performance specifcations, primarily cabin volume, speed, range and takeoff feld length. The light aircraft category encompasses light to midsize aircraft segments. When compared to other business jet market categories, the light category value proposition relies on relatively low prices and low operating costs combined with suffcient range for short-haul missions. The Learjet 40 XR, the Learjet 45 XR, the Learjet 60 XR and the in-development Learjet 85 aircraft are all part of this category. The light aircraft category is expected to take the longest time to recover after the downturn due to the large number of aircraft (18.1% of feet) for sale in the frst quarter of 2009 on the pre-owned

market. We expect the light category to generate a total of 6,000 deliveries over the next 10 years, representing $69 billion.
