BY MATT NABER H istory repeated itself at the 2020Woodward (Okla.) Elks Rodeo, but with a twist. This year’s team roping winners had both won the rodeo before but with different partners. In 2012, Woodward became the first ProRodeo win of team roping header AndrewWard’s career while still on his permit and roping with his

older brother, Reagan. The Ward brothers claimedWoodward again in 2014 and remained partners through the end of the 2019 season. Heeler Buddy Hawkins II and his previous partner Tate Kirchenschlager wonWoodward in 2019 with a 5.7-second run. In 2020, AndrewWard and Hawkins teamed to winWoodward in 4.4 seconds. This year was also different because more competitors than usual
