Local manufacture anywhere Ofenbau Fritz offers all furnaces, including its top-heated galvanising furnace with ceramic tank and foundation cooling, and the Becker-Fritz continuous wire annealing furnace system, on a local manufacture basis. The company supplies drawings and full technical specifications to enable the customer to purchase the necessary materials from a local source. Ofenbau Fritz delivers only those items the customer is unable to obtain elsewhere and a few special parts. The use of standardised materials makes it possible to manufacture the furnaces in almost any country around the world. Price and transport costs are greatly reduced, compared to a complete supply. Finding compounds online

The Xiameter brand has launched a series of standard high-consistency rubber (HCR) compounds for customers in North America and Europe, allowing users to buy standard HCR compounds for high-voltage insulation, wire and cable applications without added customisation costs and product development delays. Shelley Bausch, Xiameter vice president and executive director, explained: “Most compounds on the market today are highly customised, so we’ve decided to offer a set product line of standard HCR compounds so that customers can choose the preform, durometer range, cure system and standard colour they need.” An online selector guide has been developed by the Xiameter team to help compound customers identify the exact compound needed for a specific application.
