The Austrian Wire & Cable Machinery Manufacturers Association stand (Verband Österreichischer Draht- und Kabel- Maschinenhersteller), organised in association with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, will showcase the portfolios of ten companies: CPA, Ebner Industrieofenbau, Eder, EVG, Lenzing, MAG, Mali, Medek & Schoerner, Rosendahl and Unitek. Catalogues of non-exhibiting com- panies will also be available, while visitors to the member companies will be welcome at the Café Vienna to sample typical Austrian hospitality.

Ajex & Turner will exhibit its range of dies and die shop machinery for polishing and re-cutting. The company is a distributor for several ranges of machinery and lubricants and some of its overseas collaborators will also be present. In addition to new software func- tionalities for cable design, manufac- ture and warehouse management, Advaris will be displaying highly efficient options for the complete representation of the CAQ process chain, from the preparation of test plans during design to the automatic capturing of measured values during manufacture, as well as an innovative interface solution for the flexible integration of measuring instruments, machine control units (PLCs) and sensors. Another highlight will be the presen- tation of advanced algorithms for production scheduling and single length planning. The online- optimisation of the production order sequence leads to better keeping of due dates, fewer machine setups and a lower WIP stock level. An efficient simulation environment, in which all order and manufacturing data can be altered for testing, enables a rapid run through of what-if scenarios and alternative production schedules.
