A young man’s trick riding passion began as a dream for a young boy as he watched a rodeo drill team perform one day. The excitement he felt as he watched the horses and performers was electrifying. This young man was Landen James. Landen started his performance career with the Glory Riders of Texas, a rodeo drill team. A fellow team mate that had experience in trick riding from attending years of trick riding camps, gave Landen his foundation. It wasn’t long and he was hooked! All Landen wanted to do was

Landen says, “This is the most awesome feeling, traveling with your horse rodeo to rodeo, sharing your true passion and love with audiences across the nation and creating a bond with a twelve-hundred-pound horse that is running full speed as you jump on and off and land upside down.” In 2015, Landen was informed about a show called Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede. After researching the show, he knew he should go audition to be a performer in their amazing show. Landen packed up and headed to Branson, Missouri.

Landen took 6 months off and is now back in the trick saddle teaching clinics, private lessons, training horses, and preparing for the 2018 rodeo season.
