H ere is your fabluous itinerary! On day one we transfer to the Chicago airport for our overnight flight to Barcelona. Day 2: Upon arrival in Barcelona see the Columbus Monument and La Rambla, a tree-lined pedestrian mall. Take in the view from atop Montjuic Hill and marvel at the Olympic Ring containing the sports facilities of the ’92 Olympic Games. Enjoy an included lunch at La Fitora before checking into Hotel Regente. (L) Day 3: After breakfast we embark on an artistic tour that focuses on architect Antoni Gaudí. We’ll travel along the Passeig de Gràcia, a broad elegant avenue which showcases some of the city’s most celebrated pieces of architecture. Our tour will be high- lighted by an inside visit to Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia Church, then we board the Norwegian Spirit in time for lunch! (B)(All meals beginning with lunch today are included on the ship.) Day 4: We are at Sea today, a great opportunity to explore the ship! Day 5: Casablanca, Morocco: Take one of the ship’s optional excursions to dis- cover Rabat’s rich history and see its treasures. Explore the archaeological site of Chellah or visit the Kasbah of Oudaya and the beautiful Andalusian Gardens. (8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) Day 6: At Sea, visit the spa or casino, shop, or just relax and enjoy the sea views. Day 7: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Canary Islands: These islands boast year-round temperate weather and beautiful landscapes. Known as the Beautiful Island, Gran Canaria is a land of rugged pine forested terrain dotted with waterfalls and volcanoes. Join an optional excursion to Taburiente National Park! (8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) Day 8: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands: Walk the historic streets of old town and admire the colonial buildings. Stroll along golden sand beaches. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mount Teide, the highest point in Spain, or ride a camel at Camel Park! (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) Day 9: Funchal, Madeira, Portugal: The picturesque city of Funchal is set on a hillside on the sunny south coast of Madeira. Take the Cabo Girao Cable Car to the highest sea cliff in Europe to experience breathtaking views, or take a toboggan wicker basket ride! (8:00 a.m–4:00 p.m.) Day 10: At Sea, enjoy all the amenities of the ship! Day 11: Malaga, Spain: In this resort city on Spain’s Costa del Sol you can stroll along the palm tree-lined seaside promenades and enjoy beautiful scenery and great weather. Or, take an excursion to lovely Granada to tour the Alhambra! (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) Day 12: Alicante, Spain: Located on Spain’s Costa Blanca, Alicante boasts Paseo de las Explanada, one of the most beautiful seafronts in Spain. Stroll through narrow streets and take the elevator to medieval Castillo de Santa Bárbara with views of the Mediterranean. (8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.)
