CTESS Manual -RSP

The purpose of self-assessment is to link instructional practices to student growth. The process for completing the CTESS Self-Assessment and Student Growth Reflection Template involves developing a professional growth plan, along with reflecting on instruction that impacts student growth, which are two requirements of yearly educator evaluation. In order to streamline the self-assessment and student growth components of educator evaluation, these two requirements are combined. Teachers’ reflections on their students’ yearly growth and instructional adjustments are the basis of how administers rate the Student Growth element of CTESS. This process decreases the variability in how student growth is assessed across subject areas and grade levels. Self-Assessment & Student Growth Reflection

All teachers complete the Self-Assessment & Student Growth Reflection process every year.
