HELPING HOUSEHOLDS AND SMES TRANSFORM THEIR WAY OF LIFE

The Groupe BPCE networks distribute loans using funds from the sustainable development passbook savings account offered by the Banque Populairebanks (PREVair)and the Caisses d’Epargne(Ecureuil Crédit DD). Loan outstandings stood at € 306.8 million at December31, 2017,serving to fund34,816 projects. Green mobility for Groupe BPCE customers The Groupe BPCE networks have created special products to encourage their customers to adopt mobility solutions generating little to no carbon emissions.Linked to an eco-bonus/penaltysystem, Banque Populaire’s AUTOVair loan and Caisse d’Epargne’s Ecureuil Auto DD loan can be used to buy hybrid and electric vehicles, including electric bicycles, at preferential rates. At December 31, 2017, 18,919vehicles had been financed for a total of € 128m. Guiding craftsmen and SMEs on the path to sustainable development: a question of competitiveness In its loyal commitmentto the SME and craftsmenmarket, Banque Populaireoffers a specialfinancingtool to aid them in their ecological transformation. This facilityis used to improvethe energyefficiencyof buildings,manufacturingequipment(engines, etc.) or, for example,to optimize cold storage facilities. Beneficiariescan also address waste managementproblems,pollutingdischarges,or adopt renewableenergy solutions. At December 31, 2017, 1,170 such projects had been implemented fora totalof € 160.6million.

A comprehensive offer for thermal home renovation Since its creationin 2009, GroupeBPCE has securedthe No. 2 spot in France for the distributionof “Eco PTZ” interest-freeeco loans, with a marketshare a shade above its naturalweight.At December 31, 2017, 64,000 Eco PTZ loans totaling € 580 million made it possible for our customersto performenergy efficiencyrenovationsin their homes. As an active contributor to the SGFGAS (Société de gestion des financementset de la garantie de l’accession sociale à la propriété) Eco PTZ Committee,Groupe BPCE put forward multiple proposals to improveproductdistributionand efficiency.In particular,the group is the only bank to distribute the Eco PTZ loan for commonhold properties, via Crédit Foncier. Preceding the Eco PTZ loan was the Sustainable Development passbooksavingsaccountlaunchedin 2006, which obligatedbanks to allocate 10% of the deposits collected to thermal home renovation projects, within the meaning of the “CITE” (energy transition tax credit) list. In that instance as well, Group BPCE was ahead of the curve and can even be said to have inspired the regulationwith the PREVair loans launched by the Banque Populaire banks in 1989, which metsimilarobjectives.
