SUMMARY

1. Probability of recurrence after Re-Lumpectomy + Re-APBI is about 4-10 % - the same as after mastectomy alone !

2. Side effects are very low.

Salvage Interstitial brachytherapy is a high effective and safe treatment option for selected patients with in-breast recurrences.
