SEPTEMBER 2014 BEACON

It is election time at NCYC!!! Please extend an extra courtesy to those members who have volunteered to help lead our club into the future. Remember we are all friends and we should all come together for a common goal. Please do not remove any campaign signs from the grounds or clubhouse. Let all of us show our respect for everyone who is investing their time and efforts to run. I would like to extend a big Thank you to all the OD’s, Weekday managers, Ancient Mariners, First Mates, Members, junior members, and Board of Directors for their time, talents, and efforts throughout this boating season.

We are currently gathering information and seeking estimates for the many improvements and maintenance projects our island so desperately needs. If you have any thoughts or ideas and can step up and volunteer to help in any way please let me know. With the generous donation from the First Mates we have a nice kick start for the fall and spring projects. Thank you ladies for all you do for the club and for your continued support. Let us remember 911 and the wound it left on our United States of America. Take a moment to remember those that lost their lives or had their lives forever changed, those that have served and those that keep us safe. Be safe, boat safe and be thankful for what we have.
