Riverside Fields Park sits on 10 acres of land in the southeast portion of the city. Completed in 2014, this well-furnished park is beloved by neighborhood residents. Riverside Fields Park features a enclosed picnic shelter. The shelter can be rented for family gatherings, parties or other events. Installed in 2011, the park’s play structure is intended for growing children. A portion of

another for kids 5 to 12. “This provides neighborhood kids with a modern playground equipped with plenty of challenges and unique play features,” said Shakopee Recreation Program Services Manager Sherry Dvorak. Riverside Fields has one of the city’s two outdoor pickleball courts. The popular sport combines elements of ping-pong and tennis and is a fast-growing sport in the Twin Cities. “This court is nice because it can be used for both tennis and pickleball,” Dvorak said. “We’re happy to provide space for residents that are passionate about this sport.”
