Bodliean Libraries Tolkien: Maker of Middle-Earth Available from 1st June Celebrating the lesser-known abilities of JRR Tolkien as a visual-artist, this exhibition assembles an unprecedented array of materials from the UK and USA. Ashmolean Museum Ibrahim El-Salahi: a Sudanese artist in Oxford Sundays 10.00am–5.00pm A pioneer of African and Arab Modernism, El-Salahi's works are set in dialogue with Ancient Sudanese objects from the Ashmolean's collection.

The Story Museum It's Always Tea Time Sundays 11.00am–4.00pm Journey down the rabbit hole as 72 artists from 19 countries combine to explore the tea party theme from Lewis Carroll's classic. Museum of Natural History Settlers Sundays 10.00am–5.00pm Telling the dynamic story of Britain's changing population through genetics, archaeology and demography, also featuring newly commissioned work by visual artist Ian Kirkpatrick.
