Quantification of Other Benefits

All of PF-ONE’s benefits have not been quantified in the cost-benefit analysis of the pilot program mainly due to a lack of publicly available information. It is our hope that through a pilot program Manitoba Hydro will be able to further quantify the following benefits of the technology through performance data: • Long-term cost avoidance of infrastructure maintenance and replacement due to reduced temperature of conductors, transformers, and gear in between generation and the loads. • Reduction of higher value peak time losses due to increased transformer capacity. • Reduction in compensation effort costs due to PF-ONE’s autonomous precise compensation. • Value of data provided by PF-ONE’s smart meter communication capabilities.
